THE INNER VOICE OF TRUTH
VOS VOX VERITATIS
From the moment of your birth into this realm, you have been conditioned and programmed to adhere to the environment of which you were born. You have been raised and groomed by social and cultural conditions of what is considered acceptable behaviors and tolerances based on your gender and race. Such behaviors have been implanted and ingrained into your psyche at a very early age, unbeknownst to you. “
You were instructed and disciplined in the ways of your people. “You can do this”; and “You cannot do that”. “This is acceptable”, and “that is unacceptable”. You were taught to behave. Behavior is defined as: the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward others. Given this definition would you know how to conduct yourself within your culture without the outside guidance of your parents, your peers or your elders? No! For as a child you would take things when you wanted and were corrected, you would bite or hit and be corrected. During our early stages of development we would not understand the expectations of conduct within your environment without such guidance.
You and all others have been put into their place and conditioned to fit into acceptingly within your culture and society. True, that on occasion we have a sense of rebellion that we tend to harbor internally and to occasionally experience fleeting moments of acting out. But, inevitably we return to that place of complacency and normality. For some of us, life is like breaking out of a prison over and over and over again, whilst others remain obedient in their cells. Some of us have this desire to break free, but do not truly know what we are breaking free from or where we shall go once we are free. And therefore, we inevitably remain in the constraints of our specific culture, and our specified social acceptances which confine our mind, and inexorably imprison our soul. A dimming effect of the Soular Light!
Are any truly happy, or are they who appear to be happy only inebriated addicts of their own endorphins? Dosing daily and heavily on their own hormonal opiate receptors for an analgesic effect in order to alleviate some inner angst of life?
In the end, everything you have ever done in life and everything you ever owned will have no true value for it will no longer be yours. So the only true value that will be your successor in the end can only be calculated on how many lives you touched with a purpose. Thereby will your true value to all things be assessed.
And what then is it of our purpose or value here, individually? Collectively? A purpose may or may not be self imposed, but it is as a vision/mission. Just as a business entity has a vision statement and a mission statement to clarify its purpose, so to should we. Is it of a higher purpose? Most certainly, if it is highly valuable and touches the lives of many people on a profound level, that is not base intelligence, that is higher intelligence.
If it be that there exist some purpose within our species, is it being fulfilled, or suppressed and/or drugged? Evidence supports those who are driven to fulfill a life of purpose/intent (no matter how self imposed) will or have become fully in possession of and intellectually in control of their own biochemical machine for the Magnum Opus. And in such heightened awareness do such beings intentionally act in determination to work wonders.
Life is a blank canvas upon which we will paint our greatest masterpiece. It is the medium of the mind in all of its intelligence, intuition and imagination that guides us toward the highest visions of virtuosity. That stroke of genius within our self that reflects and reveals the Higher Self.
To isolate and complete ones true inner purpose/mission may take a lifetime, with years and years of self discipline and personal transformations toward higher intelligence. For true as it is, the Magnum Opus (Great Work) is inevitably one’s life work.
Ideally, you know or have discovered your true calling in life, you are making the world a better place every day, you are doing well for yourself, and you are happy, fulfilled and full of life. You are making a difference and bringing value to the world. Your life is a work of art.
Or perhaps, you only have a shimmer of your true calling, but you have a good job where you help people and you enjoy what you do, you are doing well for yourself and are somewhat happy but you feel perhaps that something is missing.
For many, they are just making ends meet. They have a job, making money, paying bills; have some happy moments but essentially just going through the motions on a day to day basis. Work hard and after work are too exhausted to do anything else. On weekends, go out socializing or on a get away to bring a little excitement to life. They are doing okay but unfulfilled. Having no clue what to do or how to get there.
For others, they are at rock bottom. Barely making ends meet, working a miserable job, hate their life, possibly turned to some drug like alcohol, prescription drugs and/or maybe even something stronger. They are so far deep in a rut they can’t even afford a shovel to dig their way out or have the energy to. Many of us have experienced tough times and many of us have worked our way out of tough times to once again stand on our own two feet. We can indeed sympathize with what it may be like to hit bottom. It can be a depressing state of existence.
As previously mentioned, if we are not living a fulfilled life, we will occasionally sense that there is something missing and we may bout with a sense of depression on occasion. Especially, when that little voice within us says we should be doing something more, something greater than what we are doing. It’s a haunting voice of truth within us that tells us we are not living up to our fullest potential.
During this research, it was found that many people turn to others and entertainment to avoid having to heed their own thoughts. Few people will spend the time alone with their self and most avoid being alone. If and when they are alone they will choose to do something to occupy their mind, watch TV, read and/or play games. The majority of people will chose to entertain their minds over entrain them.
“Vos Vox Veritatis” is Latin for “You, the Voice of Truth”. For within us are many voices, there are the voices of your parents who conditioned you to behave a certain way. It’s the voice that tells you to eat your vegetables, sit up straight, get a job, you can’t do this or that, and you must do this or that. You must behave a certain way to make it in life. Then there are the voices of your peers, that tell you you must wear certain clothes, own certain things, act a certain way if you want to fit in. There are also the voices of the media that tells you you want certain things so you can live up to a certain standard in life. This car, this house, these foods, these clothes, these vacations… spend, spend, spend your life away! So spend your money on what we want you to think you need and remain indebted to the system.
And in all these voices inside you, there is essentially only one that matters; it is your own true inner voice of truth, the one that most people avoid. But it is not the voice that is saying you will never amount to anything, it is not the voice that is saying you need to have this or you need to do that in order to be happy. It is not the voice that says I want to be “fill in the blank”. It is a voice of higher knowledge encoded within you. It is the voice that says “I am ‘fill in the blank”.
The challenge is to isolate this voice, learn to recognize it and communicate with it more and more frequently, until it “becomes” your true voice, inwardly and outwardly. The true voice within doesn’t want things, it wants to manifest and express its highest potential within you. It does not ask for anything! It asks for everything from you! And “It” is “You”! When you come to know this voice you will realize that it is you who is asking everything of yourself to become your highest potential, that divine spark within that wants to be on fire.
As an occult scientist I have spent years trying to isolate this voice, at first it was experiments with intuition, and then more experiments, tests and techniques to isolate the voice. From my studies in Hermeticism, I held to the notion that the King was the intelligence and the Queen, intuition. United they give birth to the “god child”, the birth of the Divine within us. It is not only thinking with the brain, but the whole body as one “Sentient Being” that is highly aware of the internal and external environments and signs of such toward the guidance of transcendental Illumination.
Several years ago, I was driving down the road and passed this one place on the side of the road that caught my attention, I said to myself “I should go there”. A small voice said “go there” as if to confirm my thought. However, I ignored it and thought to myself, one day perhaps I will go. Then a small voice said “turn around” as I was approaching a median turn around. I ignored it again, thinking it was just a random thought. As I approached an overpass, the voice was loud and clear as if someone in the vehicle was with me and said “Turn Around!” I said “Okay!” And I did. I turned around and went to this place and I am glad I did, it changed my life forever for the better.
The reason I tell you this story is because there is a voice within each of us that is our Higher Intelligence/Intuition. You may have heard it before yourself, maybe softly, hauntingly or perhaps loud and clear. We have so many thoughts every second of the day; it is difficult to keep up sometimes with our own thoughts. But there are some thoughts that are recurring, some that invigorate our soul, some that weigh heavy on our spirit, most just reactive thinking to what is going on around us.
As mentioned earlier, the thoughts that involve the intelligence and intuition are the strongest thought forces. For thoughts are not just in the brain. Higher thoughts involve the whole nervous system, the entire body collectively as a whole being, one unified “Sentient Being”, the Higher Self.
Though some may believe this voice is the voice of God or maybe a guiding angel/spirit, at the time of this writing this probability has not been verified. What has been verified within this research is that this voice is within us and no one else can hear it. Yes, this may sound as if on the brink of insanity, but this path is not the path of sanity and comfort. I personally have endured much upset along the way trusting in my own “Voice of Truth”. I have lost friends and gained new ones. I have broken hearts and even my own heart trusting in this inner voice, that is as if an inner knowing. But that is the price we pay for achieving our highest potentiality. Fear of the consequences can prevent us from pursuing or truth, but to live in fear is to be controlled by other voices, not one’s own. My own inner voice has driven me to isolate this “Vos Vox Veritatis” and to make it my own inner truth regardless of what I may fear or what others may think.
It has been a long process and with many experiments but the technique that worked the best was the most simplest. It is more of a meditation or hypnotic induction and is not some elaborate summoning ritual with complex techniques that require an array of magickal implements. What I present to you here within the “Vos Vox Veritatis” is a very simple technique that can be easily performed and will help you isolate your “Your Voice of Truth”. It may take a few attempts but I assure you, you have nothing to lose.
All that is needed is one candle (only one), a means to light the flame, complete darkness and complete silence. There should be no distractions for 30 minutes at most. It usually takes up to 10-15 minutes before the mind is calm and communication with the Higher Intelligence is made. As mentioned, this is a hypnotic induction to reach alpha brainwave patterns which takes approximately 10 minutes to induce. The remainder of the time will be spent communicating for as long as one desires.
This technique may be done clothed or unclothed, if you prefer a little ritualistic flare then you can enter this working as you entered the world, with nothing. Relaxation is important. So get comfortable and light the candle, candle color is not important, so choose your favorite color or use a black or white candle. As mentioned use only one candle, no other light should exist in your chamber. It must be completely dark; again no other light is to be present. It must also be completely silent, no outside noises, no televisions in the other room and no music playing. Only silence.
In total silence and darkness, except for that one flame, sit before the flame and gaze into it. Hold your focus on the flame, take three deep breaths and on each exhalation state to yourself that your intentions are to communicate with your Higher Self. Throughout the entire working do not attempt to control your thoughts, let your mind roam. The only control is to maintain a gaze into the flame for the time being. As you gaze into the flame, you will experience various thoughts that will arise, and then disappear, and then other thoughts will arise. You may even become drowsy, blurred vision etc… Just allow this to happen as your mind adapts to the process and becomes more and more calmer.
The thoughts you will have will be unpredictable, random and fleeting. The mind may hold on to certain thoughts longer and play out a series of events as if in a dream state. The only control you seek to exhibit initially is keeping your eyes on the singular flame. For this singular flame is a representation of your own inner light, your inner spark, secret fire or dark flame.
(Note: there is a scientific theory that correlates our intellectual evolution with the ability of our ancestor’s ability to control fire. When our primitive ancestors learned to control fire and would sit around the fire to stay warm, they would gaze into the fire. Anyone who has ever sat around a fire at night knows how mesmerizing it can be. There is something about fire that instigates higher thought patterns and alters brainwaves. Per se, fire has the power to inspire higher intelligence by altering human brainwaves.)
As you continue to gaze into the flame and your mind begins to calm itself and becomes quieter possibly reaching an Alpha brainwave state. Some may experience drowsiness as your eyelids growing heavy, difficult to maintain focus and vision becomes blurred. This is not unusual as this technique is actually a form of hypnotic induction. If you do feel drowsy, close your eyes and allow yourself to drift off. (But please, ensure that you will not knock over your candle and cause a fire!!) If you do doze off, rest assured you will return to consciousness and your mind may be sharper and will still be in an Alpha state.
Regardless, if you doze off or not, when you feel like your mind is calm, focused and sharp, you can just listen or simply ask yourself a question. You may speak it aloud or think it to yourself silently. But ask yourself a question and there are no specific questions for each journey is unique to the traveler. Some suggestions may be, “What should I be doing with my life”, “What is my highest potential in life”, “How can I make a difference in the world”, or “What is my true calling in life”. Yes, you can ask other questions such as “Should I move to “blank” or “should I marry “blank” but at this time you are attempting to make contact with your Higher Intelligence/Voice. Such direct questions will become easier and clearer once you have come to recognize your inner voice and communicate with it frequently.
Now, since you have asked a specific question, your mind will once again respond with various answers and perhaps even visions. Allow you mind to process these images and voices. Ask again, if need be. But then remain silent until you here a voice that is a “knowing voice”. It will have a sense of presence, unlike all the other voices or images; it will be direct and unwavering. It may sound cliché but you will know it if or when you hear it. If you do hear this voice, respond to it. Communicate with it. Regardless, what “they” may say, it is okay to talk to yourself and to respond back.
Give yourself all the time you need, you will know when you are done, regardless of whether you succeeded or not. It is recommended that you do this mediation as often as necessary to integrate yourself with the Higher Self. The more familiar you become with your “Voice of Truth” the better you will be able to fulfill your life and make a difference in the world. For, we need you to be kinetically at your highest potential.
If you feel that you did not make any significant contact during this working, try, try again. If anything you may have learned a thing or two about how your mind works. Was it distracted, could it focus on the flame? What thoughts had the most impact? Did you reach an alpha state? If you keep a journal, make notes, if you do not keep a journal, it is advisable to take notes.
There is an old axiom “Know Thyself”. This is the path of Mastery; the Mastery of Self is the key to mastering your life. The path of Intellectual Illumination is that of Self-Sovereignty, Self Ruling, and one cannot Rule if one does not know who one is Ruling. Therefore, the “Vos Vox Veritatis” is only one simple technique (tested and verified) that can help to isolate and recognize the “Voice of Truth” that is within you.
